The law of Christ is at war with Evolution
The law of Christ is incompatible with the law of Evolution. The two laws are at war with each other.
1. Who am I and what am I worth?
· Atheist’s answer
o A piece of protoplasm that washed up on the beach.
o You are part of the problem because you are one of the polluters of the environment.
o The quicker you can be rid of the better. That’s normal thinking, if evolution is true.
· Bible’s answer
o You have been bought with a price. The sacrifice of Jesus
o Psalm 139: 13 – 16 - for you created my inmost being, You knit me together in my mothers’ womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Your works are wonderful and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
o Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
2. Where did I come from?
· Atheist’s answer
o We all came from a cosmic birth about 20 billion years ago.
· Bible’s answer
o From one man I have made every nation of men. (Acts 17:26)
o At the beginning of their creation, I made them male and female (Mark 10:6)
o And determined when they should be born and where they should live. (Acts 17:26)
o I created everyone so each would seek Me; If you reach out for Me, you will find Me For I am not far from you. (Acts 17:27)
o I made you and shaped you like clay. (Job 10:8-9)
o I created your innermost being and knit you together in the womb of your mother; (Psalms 139:13)
o I poured you out like milk, curdled you like cheese and clothed you with your body. (Job 10:10-11)
o You were not hidden from Me for a moment; I saw your unformed body and knew all the days of your life, even before one of them came to pass. (Psalms 139:15-16)
o I gave you your life My child and showed you kindness. (Job 10:12)
o I knew you even before you were in the womb; (Jeremiah 1:5)
o You can rely on Me, for it was I who brought you forth into the world. (Psalms 71:6)
o I formed and made everyone for My glory. (Isaiah 43:7)
o There is no favouritism with Me. (Acts 10:34) because, before Me, everyone is the same –
3. Why am I here and what is the purpose of life?
· Atheist’s answer
o If evolution is true, there is no purpose to life and you may as well have fun and do what you like because it feels good and it’s fun.
· Bible’s answer
o Ephesians 2:8 – for it is by grace you have been saved, through faith. This not from yourselves – it is the gift from God. It is God’s gift, not from work done, lest anyone should boast.
o You have been formed before the foundations of the earth to be perfect in His sight.
4. Where am I going to when I die?
· Atheists’ answer
o To the grave and you’re going to get recycled into a worm or a plant.
· Bible’s answer
o You will be seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.
In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth – Genesis 1:1. If this is true, the answers to the questions 1 – 4 will be very different.
Conclusion - 1 Corinthians 2:6 – 10
And yet I do speak words of wisdom to those who are ripe for it. Not the wisdom belonging to this passing age. Nor to any of its governing powers, which are declining to their end; I speak God’s hidden wisdom, His secret purpose framed from the very beginning to bring us to our full glory.
The powers that rule the world have never known it; if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory but, in the words of scriptures, things beyond our seeing, things beyond our hearing, things beyond our imagining, all prepared by God for those who love Him, this it is that God has revealed to us though the Spirit.
So according to the answers given to each question, who do you want to believe – God or the atheist? You are very precious to God because He created you. You are not a particle of dust that evolved into a human being, you are a precious creation of the Almighty God and He paid the ultimate price by coming to earth as a man, to die for your sins so that you may be reconciled to a Holy God.
