Christian, check your adviser

08 April 2014, 10:11

The Lord Jesus was in a great need before, he had the authority and the power to do his own will and to use the opportunity. The Bible says that he was filled with the Holy Spirit. Even the devil had recognized the power that was in him and tempted him because of the need according to his power. Changing stones into loaves of bread was a good advice that could satisfy his hunger! But the Lord refused to be guided by the opportunity and the need, he refused to use his power according to the advice of the devil although that advice could satisfy his need. He waited for the reaction of the one who had led him into the wilderness to be tempted. Son of God, what kind of advice do you use when you are in need? Today we are tempted in the same way of the Lord in the desert. If the devil advice you to turn the stones into bread, you better know that he has seen already the angels of God carrying your answer. In God, an opportunity is not always a good reason to do something! The Bible says that all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God (Romans 8: 14). The Lord proved this word to the devil by refusing his proposal and waited for the direction of the Holy Spirit spite his hunger! Check who you listen to when you are tempted, when you are cross or when you are discouraged! What voice leads you? What voice advises you? What voice pushes you to decide? Do not make bread from stones according to the voice of the tempter! Do not give yourself solutions before God does! Do not disconnect yourself from your divine visitation by listening to another voice than that of your Savior! Be strong and let the last word to God! Stay in your faith! Matthew 4:1-4,11; 1 Corinthians 10:13 ; 2 Peter 2:9.
