As a Christian it is important to me to have my children christened. They have to be brought up knowing there is love and safety in Our Father.
I recently decided to have my kids christened. This turned out to be a sad experience...
Going to a church, we were told they can't do the christening because my husband wasn't a member of this church. So we decided to go to his church. There we were told the same story, I am not a member of his church, our children can't be christened there!
What is going on in our churches?! Al I want is to have my kids christened! The Lord says in His Word not to keep the children from Him. Have any of the churches not heard or read about this line?
If someone can clarify? Why are they picky about who the Christen? We, Christians, should all believe in the same Father? Why NOT take young children, throw away your rules and regulations and invite them into your church. It's not about who you are, it is about Who you serve and what He askes of you.
Well, eventually we found a stunning group of people in Maranatha Parktown! They welcomed us with open arms, made us feel part of them. Turned out to be the greatest day ever! We are even thinking of becoming members :)
To end my letter I wish to God all this judging and rulings would end and everyone, no matter WHO you are, are welcomed to your nearest church.
