Comfortably numb!!

What is wrong with us? Have we as society gone numb to what’s happening around us?
I mean look at what I read in the news today, I woman was found guilty of decapitating her son, Jacob Zumas house cost taxpayers R200m, and it is evident that he stole the money, E toll are on there way, A Durban woman has been left traumatized after a hijacker jumped from the car he had just stolen - while she was still in the boot.
An East Rand Grade 11 pupil was arrested on Tuesday for shooting dead a fellow pupil he accused of bullying him, police said, and this is just local news
International news is even worse, my point being have we been horrified by the happenings in our country so much that we have grown use to living this way, what does this say about us as a people, what does this mean for our children, is it not time then to wake up and get rid of these things that is traumatizing us as a nation, How do we even start?
One thing I do know is we didn’t start the fire it was always burning since the worlds been turning, but we have to ask ourselves how we can sleep while our beds are burning , and when is enough enough . at what point are we going to change , or are we as society totally amused to death?
If each and every one of us try I am sure we as society can make a change, can make a change, and hold out a candle of hope for the future of our children. Each small candle lights a corner of the dark.
