I am totally disappointed in Christians!!!
Here I am, reading through all the articles written the past week, ready to be convinced to become a Christian AGAIN!!
Why would I consider to be a Christian again? The feeling to feel save and protected is a warm and nice feeling. The one to know that I am forgiven no matter what I did gives you peace of mind. The Bible's pictures of Jesus holding his children makes your heart crumble, etc.
But then came reality!!!! Christians are the most cruel people I have ever met. Whenever there is real trouble, they always convert to what nature tells them to do, first instinct and that is to survive! A mother-in-law becomes Satan herself when her daughter-in-law takes her only son. Mothers forget about religion when their children are threatend in a way that she dislikes. People most often forget about religion when it comes to bussiness and making money. Instinct takes over!
Nobody in my comunity knows that I am an Atheist, you can call it whatever you want, but it is not in my interest or my childrens interest for them to know. You will be judged by Christians! Christians always feel that they have to convince you to convert, mainly because they feel so holy. What they don't understand is that, the day you realize there is no God, you cannot be convinced otherwise. Its logic. It is a total feeling of freedom. For the first time you never feel guilty about anything you do, you take responsibility for all your faults and also fix your own mistakes. You will not be afraid to die, you will make sure that you live your life in full. You know that the mistakes you make will not roll over to next generations. You know that genes are the reason for that!
Being an Atheist doesn't mean that you become a Satanist, it only means you take responsibility and think logically. You make sure to use the brain you received, this could not be given by a God, a God that is all Mighty could change my thoughts, but he doesn't.
Why all the hustle about religion, according to Christians you have already been chosen! No worry then! Everything will fall in place like a chess game.
Your brain is very powerful, praying is just another way to believe in yourself. By praying you are actually convincing yourself that things will happen, by believing in what you just said things happens because you are positive, not because you prayed.
I do believe there is a place for Christians or religion. People with emotional problems feed on it. Take religion away, alot of people will end in mental hospitals. Its a pshycological thing!
I don't remember all the scientific facts, but it is very interesting and make abolute sense and mostly proven true.
Christians response is always the same and based on feelings, hormones, fear and an ancient script.
As christians you failed, you could not convert me!
I ask the following:
If there is a God, how can there be a hell?
Ps: I am an Afrikaans speaking person. To have written this in English was difficult for me!
