The murder of Corrie Sanders has questioned my very existence. I sit here, lost in a myriad of thoughts; another senseless murder of a fellow South African by a nation of criminals who have lost their mind.
But deeper questions need asking. The collective consciousness of SA is not reflective of a vibrant, intelligent and god fearing people.
This conscious that gives life to violent crime is being fed by an unconscious riddled with racial intollerance, revenge, greed, greed, greed and an unwillingness to engage itself to fashion out a fabric of good morals and respect.
The vast majority of SAns are making a lot of noise BUT are not putting into action a plan for change. One cannot look to present political parties to rescue us.
As Einstien said, if one does the same things one must not expect different results.
Let Corrie's death force us to take new steps, create new vehicles for change and bring on board new people to to support the change.
The next election is not far off, there are lots of people who want a better SA. What are you going to do that is DIFFERENT, how will you contribute to a new, morally just, and senseable SA?
Just asking?
