Cost of education
In today’s day and age its seems that most of our fellow countrymen and woman wants that quality education for their children. Most parents obviously want their children to have that solid foundation that will prepare the children for tertiary education and unknown challenges in life. Some parents will go and dent their budgets by removing their kids out of the government schools and placing them in model-c schools. Well is all this action always good for the child.
The big is question is? Who brings quality in a school? Would it be the whole blown up image of the model-c school or is the quality to be found in the dedication of the teacher. Recently I’ve learned that there are parents who thought a dream came true by transferring the children to model-c schools and end the of the day it was to the disadvantage of the children. Some of the learners’ grades dropped due to the attitude of some teachers. One of the parents realised that the learners got more attention at the normal township schools. This is obvious that we are dealing with teacher that will move around the shortcomings of the school to ensure that the learners perform.
The question is? Who brings quality into the school? The teacher or the expensive school. Why is it that some township schools have higher pass marks then the model-c schools? Irrespective of the type of school , the teachers are faced with the challenge to make a difference.
