Cry freedom

08 March 2012, 14:16

"'To many people witchcraft it is the stuff of superstition and fantasy and therefore not to be taken seriously.' Yeah, Just like worshiping an imaginary sky daddy. All the same nonsense."
Godfrey, 5 March 2012

"Christianity is a zombie voodoo death cult yet they claim some form of unjustified moral and spiritual superiority over other forms of superstitious belief."
Godfrey, 6 March 2012

"Unless the theists can present actual testable evidence that their holy books where authored by their gods, I do not see why non believers in their myths should pay any attention to their claims."
Balstrome, 5 March 2012

"Can you show that your belief in pagan religions has any basis in reality. Can you prove that your gods actually exist and do what you claim they do? Why should the rest of the non believers give you any leeway if you can not show that there is some substance to your claims?"
Balstrome, 6 March 2012

The same MyNews24 readers churn out the same robotic comments over and over again like a stuck record instead of minding their own business. Who died and made you the religion police? The South African constitution currently provides for freedom of religion which is a hallmark of a progressive society that we should treasure.

Atheist fundamentalists are no better than religious fundamentalists in my opinion, they are both fascists imposing their beliefs or non-beliefs on other people.

If our freedom of religion is taken away, guess what our state religion would be (for now anyway)?

"... way before the first ANC President was born, Jesus Christ that we all worship has died and we still worship him ..."
Reverend Dr Vukile Mehana, ANC Chaplain General 4 January 2012
Reverend Kenneth Meshoe's boycott of the ANC Centenary Celebrations
(http://www.anc.org.za/centenary/show.php?id=9279)

Some people say that religion per se is the problem, I say that intolerance is the problem.

"Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so too."
Essay on Tolerance, Voltaire
