It is evident that we as consumers of the goods and services the government and its related institutions offer us are doomed to give bad service.
The Gautrain will never run at max capacity simply because they don't need me as a consumer of their services because if they have 1 or a million users per day, the main source of the average worker at Gautrain is government sponsored.
They don't need me as a customer and therefore they treat me as someone that bothers them and keeping them from their tea.
The municipalities and all of it's departments exactly the same.
As long as the central government sponsor their personal salaries they will see me as a hindrance and a nuisance because their personal income isn't dependent on me being there or not, and therefore their service levels will be exactly what it is now.
They are central government sponsored and therefore can't be bothered.
As long as this status quo doesn't change and the users of their goods don't become the major contributor to their personal income, nothing will change.
The only way that will be changed is if we start our own municipalities all over this country which are run like a private enterprises, that are dependent on their customers, things will and can never improve for the better.
My goodness, we have an uphill battle to get those in commission based businesses to grasp this concept fully, so don't get me wrong, I don't expect too many to get to the "gist" of what I've said here.
