Let me start off by saying that I am a driver myself.
I take the bus to and from work. I’d just like to know, do drivers have to be policed 24/7 for them to stick to law?
Is parking in a bus loading zone not illegal? If so, why do it especially during peak hour when everybody makes their way home and when there is a bus on that spot every 20 minutes or so?
This is the situation every afternoon. In a busy main road in Cape Town (Voortrekker Road) there will always be cars parked in the bus loading space, forcing the bus to stand in the middle of the road causing a little traffic jam. Another thing, to the motorists behind the bus hooting frantically and casually flipping the finger: are you idiots? The bus driver can’t help it. There’s a car in the space that is clearly marked just for the bus. It has a blue sign with a bus on it, a thick yellow box outlining the parking space and a yellow oval with a capital “B” inside that stands for “Bus”.
If you want to be at the bank or wherever else and need a parking space, make it quick or park somewhere else!
