Death penalty, or face the wrath of ordinary citizens.

13 February 2013, 10:00

First off, I have to say for long I have watched from the borders of digital communities, how people have managed to grasp this so-called digital world to air their views and share their ideas. I think it is high time I take hold of that avenue as well.

I have to confess, as a young SA, growing up in a country that has so far survived on nothing but segregation and colour barriers, I think it’s high time I ‘tell it like it is’.

This simply needs to STOP.

It’s now an old, down-trodden foible from the bottom of the barrel used as an excuse to veil flaws, injustices, corruption and many other things that politicians and leaders sit upon ever since taking over in 1994. It simply has to STOP, because it is not doing anyone any good.

Now, to what I really wanted to share today.

I think I’m not the only one who believes criminals are enjoying themselves in this country? Trust me, if they didn’t, it would be clear for all to see in terms of lower crime rates and statistics. Criminals in South Africa are having a time of their lives and they have taken criminality as a career, hobby or full-time job. Why?

Simply because the authorities have been there to support all this, and have done ‘abso-freakin-lutely’nothing about it. Even the cops are the criminals themselves. You can't tell me a criminal will not feel the urge to commit a crime all over again, knowing he will only have a slap on the wrist as a sentence, and be out of jail in less than a year.

At times they don’t even see the inside of a jail cell, having being dropped off at home by some corrupt officials who might have lined their fat pockets with a couple of thousands from the criminal himself.

Bring back the death penalty, especially now that these criminals take rape to be a sport.

We can’t have these people abusing our mothers, our sisters, and our daughters like this. Who are they to have so much power and freedom to rape, abuse, kill and mutilate other people like this?

Criminals need to learn that there is something called the law, because, as it stands, i doubt they even think of that. They don’t know what law is, and never dreamt that the justice system will get to them.

Failure to that, surely we as the citizens will take the law into our own hands. And surely, trust me when I say, I won’t spare the life of a man who did not consider to spare the life of my beloved sister, mother or daughter.
