It's Xmas and the shopping has to be done.
Now!
This time of the year, a lot of dogs are left in cars in the heat of the day without any open windows or water.
This is a sure death sentence for our fury friends.
When left under these conditions they get heatstroke and will die if not found in time.. animals should be left at home and not in cars while we enjoy our shopping .
If there is no other option but to take our animals with us then:
· Find parking in the shade (undercover parking)
· Ensure all windows slightly open to allow fresh and a through draft to cool
· A bowl of water
If you leave your dog in the heat and you manage to get there before it’s too late take the dog to the vet immediately and hold a ice pack on the tummy.
I leave you with the thought …would you sit in a car in the heat of the day without any windows open and nothing to drink?
