Now I know what you are all thinking, yeah right!. For those people itching to make a comment below, I ask you to please read the article with an open mind and not a closed one that we have been so taught to believe.
My guy friends and I were watching a programme during woman’s day (August 9) and one of my guy friends who is normally shy asked me a valid point. “Olivia, why does society not care how men are treated” honestly I couldn’t answer, my friend went on to raise his points and I would like to ask the audience how you feel about this.
In the news recently it was reported that no fewer than 80% of rapes against men went unreported, this figure is frightening considering how many woman preach “that rape against men is so low and basically unheard of”, the rest of the men not mentioned here above are laughed at by both genders when bringing up this point, or coming out that they were raped.
Talking about rape, how is it that women agree to sex often only later to claim rape? Most of the time after getting angry or viewing a mans possessions?
The Metrorail “outrage” that happened a few months ago is proof that we as society make a big fuss when a woman breaks the law and is asked to leave the train, she refuses and has to be forced off and SA goes wild. If a man did the same thing we wouldn’t even care, actually we would be expecting a justice to be served amongst calling him a criminal.
Talking about Jail, most woman get lighter sentences for the same crime that men commit and it was reported on special assignment that woman often get to visit their children at home outside of jail on weekends, whilst society has no sympathy for men, yet woman are equally as dangerous.
My friend had a step mother who treated him so badly during his upbringing that he resents her and doesn’t speak to his dad anymore, however everyone in his family claim he is jealous of his father re-marrying and should get over it and in a nut-shell he is undisciplined. His Stepmother used to verbally attack him often and make him cry amongst other things.
If She was a man there would have been absolute outrage amongst other things, all the woman would be babbling on about how men treat woman badly and how men hurt woman and how bad that stepfather was and the most common “he makes my blood boil”. Yet she was a woman and the child must accept that.
In a local newspaper it reported several instances of woman poking holes in condoms before sex to get pregnant, those same woman successfully sued for maintenance claims. Other women do this then later claim the child was not his to upset a mans emotions.
Lastly there are woman who abuse men, they hit and punch men when they are drunk and tease the living daylights out of men, there was a incident at Hatfield square where a woman got angry at her boyfriend for talking to another girl, she hit him repeatedly and started swearing at him, only a few people noticed, we were on of them. She then told him to hit her, as he was being a coward.
After five minutes of getting hit all over his body and sworn at, the guy retaliated, Suddenly everyone noticed at people came over to “help the woman”. They also called the police and the other guys beat up the man. Is violence against men condoned?
There are woman who know all so well where a mans buttons lie, they push them to get a angry reaction, and then claim men have short tempers, there are woman who destroy families in exchange for money.
Whilst we are in women’s month, it should be all but just to look at the other side of the coin whilst asking ourselves whether or not we choose to ignore it or do we simply have to sit back and accept that a woman is always right.
My friend asked the following questions.
1. Is violence against men accepted?
2. Why is rape against men laughed at
3. Why do woman insist on making men angry till their exploding point, then cry foul
4. Why are men never given good credit for being good parents
5. Why are stepmom’s overlooked when they treat kids unfairly.
6. Lastly why when anyone brings up the issues are we silenced and why do feminist groups insist that only men are wrong.
Olivia and Dylan
