Do we forgive and move on

Do we forgive and move on

It is interesting as to how one choose the political party that is going to meet or satisfy his/her needs.

One has been voting for the political parties that liberated us from oppression and white minority rule. We hope to get political, economic and social freedom from those liberation  movements. The ANC has been the leading political party, since the start of the liberation struggle started and even after 1994,it has been in government.

Our statesman, the Honourable Rolihlahla Mandela, has been a pillar of reconciliation, nation building, together black and white. He preached forgiveness and forgetting the past, a nation filled with peace and comfort for all who live in this country.

Does this mean white people can join black political dominated parties, blacks can join white dominated parties? The answer is yes. Recently I have seen a lot of black people joining mostly the DA.Some senior DA politicians joining the ANC.When we describe those blacks, we call them puppets that are used by the DA to get votes, why are those few whites joining the ANC,maybe they feel threatened by the influx of blacks to the DA.Maybe its how Madiba wanted the new SA to be,maybe as the time time goes on we will accept this transition. One can boldly say the DA has made a lot of progress in getting the support of the black people maybe they outnumber whites people.

I love the ANC for helping us during liberation, mostly Madiba,I am proud of this history and would like to be part of those who preserve it.Honestly I am not happy with Mr Zuma at the top, the Nkandla scandal has made me think twice, maybe it’s time to move on because I cannot remove him from the top, its up to the leadership of the ANC.The Nkandla, the Gupta, the Sheik and the rape scandal have tarnished his image, they say there can never be smoke without fire. His attitude of not taking responsibility where he is suspected of involvement leaves much to be desired of him. Maybe its time to preserve the history and move on and vote for the party you think will meet you halfway.
