I don't know about you, but if somebody kills a family member of mine, I'm not going to do business with them.
Our government has just stated that the execution of a South African citizen convicted of running drugs will not affect diplomatic relations. Huh???
It shows you what your goverment thinks of you, the South African citizen. What a far cry from the American government sending in special forces to rescue US hostages ... not only will the SA government not send in some of our famously overweight cops, but after you are killed they will continue shaking hands with the people who signed your death warrant.
I'm all in favour of international relations, but we need to choose our friends. China may well become a world economic leader thanks to its sheer size, but that doesn't mean I want to dive into its pockets.
If only the ANC was a government which represented its people, instead of bowing over and taking it up the ass from more powerful economies.
