There is nothing worse than someone who claims they stand for something, but don't have anything to show for it.
I am always seeing people making political statements. It could be a public display of art or a photo with a caption or even someone giving a lecture. Thats all fine and well, but how many of these people are actually contributing as much as they are protesting?
"Save the rhino" "Save the planet" "Get cross with the rich people on wall street" "Like this Facebook page for *insert cause here*"....
What's worse is that people aren't even completely educated in that area to actually make statements like they do. Everyone is quick to have a dig at Christians, but seriously, its so clear that you have absolutely no understanding of the faith.
Most of you who are protesting are either doing one of two things.
-Looking cool in front of the rest of the people who feel the same as you
-Showing your stupidity to the people who you are protesting against because it is clear to them that you actually lack a bit of understanding.
Do you really think those rich people on wall street care that you aren't happy with how much money they have?
Do you really think liking a page on Facebook is going to feed a hungry child somewhere?
Im basically calling for action.. If you feel strongly about something don't sit on Facebook and share pictures and links all day trying to prove your point, get out there and make a difference, testify to what has happened in your life (not other peoples lives who you don't even know).
Most importantly, don't be a sheep. Don't fall victim to a lie or a cause that you don't completely understand. Don't just believe one side of a story and be ignorant to the side that you are opposing.
In essence, most of these causes are actually anti development which is trying to stop people from making money or doing good work.. So just think about what you are doing.
