I am convinced that the injunction of "making South Africa Ungovernable" needs to be revoked by someone of the stature of the departed O.R.Tambo and Chris Hani. Respect for Decency, Fairness, Law and Order has dwindled to the point that it is now politically correct to intimidate, bully, burn and commit sabotage. Perpetrators have the impunity guaranteed by our Beautiful Costitution.
What protection do the peace-loving, law-abiding citizens have from those bent on denying them access to their constitutional rights to Development, Progress, Safety and Security? My assessment is that the Security Forces, especially the Police have been rendered edentulous, restricted, disempowered - yes, say it, emasculated - to deal with rampant public violence and terrorism! Do they actually HAVE protection from the Judiciary and the Constitution for them to do their work with confidence, sensitivity and due respect for the sacrosanct Human Rights?
I long for a leader or President who will defend the Constitution equitably so that the powers of darkness, destruction, lawlessness and indecency are restrained and we have peace, decency, fairness, calmness and Development in South Africa. Right now, I see that our country is like a run-away Putco bus in a crowded Umlazi street. . . Help!!!
