Earth Child or Just a Stoner
I have a question that’s been puzzling me for a while now.
I have a very diverse group of friends. From professional, university educated people to business people and alas, my hippy earth child friends.
I have one very good friend who is a free spirit, a hippy child an earth child or whatever you would like to call her.
The other day she expressed her disapproval about other people smoking Iowaska and doing drugs in general.
When I pointed out that she smokes about 4 to 7 joints PER DAY she said that she doesn’t feel the need to justify her medicine to me or anyone else.
Now my question is this : When does it cross the line from being a smoker to being a plain old stoner?
Don’t get me wrong I’m not anti- weed.
I do believe that it does have medicinal purposes and that a puff every now and again cannot hurt and it’s certainly better than alcohol.
However, is 7 joints a day still medicinal?
She is unemployed and living with me at the moment . She is an artist and certainly has talent but her art is maybe bringing in R1,000.00 per month.
She (and the stoner that lives above me) agreed that they would rather starve than sell their soul and work in an office where their “consciousness” and their artistic selves will not be lived to its full potential (or something like that).
My point, which I can’t seem to get through to her, is that NOBODY likes working. There are very few people that are happy with what they’re doing. Wouldn’t we all like to sit at home the whole day puffing away and painting stuff? I also try and explain to her that smoking 4 or 5 joints a day has crossed the line from being medicinal to just being a stoner but she’ll have none of it. She is convinced that no matter how much you smoke it’s still a medicine and she needs it to get through the day…
I don’t think so, but hey, what do I know?
I love my friend I just don't agree with her life style.
I would just like some opinions….
