EFF’s Opposers vs. Supporters in my mind!

04 May 2014, 20:00

After reading the headline and noting the word ‘EFF’ probably, these keywords crossed your mind: Malema, communism, uneducated, corruption, politics. Why is that?

Why the name ‘Malema’ crosses the mind?

  • Fact- He is the founder of the EFF after he was expelled  from the ANC.

  • His oppossers discredit him on- materialism, tax invasion, dodgy deals and failing matric

  • His supporters credit him on- being voice of the voiceless, courageous, influential and unstoppable

Why the word ‘Communism’ crosses the mind?

  • Fact- EFF policies are extremely communist

  • EFF oppossers discredit the policies as- impractical, racist, failed in Europe and are failing in Zimbabwe

  • EFF supporters credit the policies as solution to- inequality, redress race issues, normalize  capitalism and are working in  China

Why the word “uneducated” crosses the mind?

  • Fact: EFF leader has no tertiary qualification

  • EFF opposers use educational merits to disqualify Malema by:

  • saying he lacks economics knowledge

  • attributing the current negative issues around  president Zuma to his lack of education

  • citing successes of the educated good leaders, ignoring failures of Robert Mugabe of course.

  • EFF supporters use political merits to qualify Malema by:

  • saying he joined the ANC Trailblazers at the age of 9 and has political experience

  • attributing ‘Malema’s persistent voice on sensitive contents of the freedom charter’ to his bravery

  • citing  successes of Henry Ford or Bill Gates whom never had tertiary qualifications, excluding failures of Jacob Zuma of course.

Why the word “corruption” crosses the mind?

  • Fact- Corruption inhibits economic growth

  • EFF opposers describe Malema as a corrupt opportunist and they deem EFF supporters as:

  • not wise because they support a corrupt individual

  • lazy expecting everything for free and not willing to work hard

  • having limited knowledge on economics because they believe EFF policies will chase away foreign investors which will lead to starvation rather than helping the poor

  • developing the grounds of civil war

  • EFF supporters describe Malema as representing the interest of the poor majority and they deem EFF opposers as:

  • rich minority and current beneficiaries of monopoly capitalism

  • exploiters expecting poor people to keep working hard for less pay

  • very aware of the economic impact of EFF policies on their wealth and are greedy to share and they twist EFF policies from its intend of making SA self-dependence through increasing state beneficiation at the expense of some current private organizations.

  • perpetuating historic legacy and undermining the freedom charter

Why the word “politics” crosses the mind?

    • Fact- Politics runs the world and everyone is affected by them

    • Common  characteristics EFF opposers exhibit on political topics as:

    • organizational loyalists: not willing to change with political dynamics

    • respect to principles: base their reasoning mostly on learnt experiences

    • conservative nature: will agree with incremental changes in political arena

    • territorial: highly defensive to protect their hard earned knowledge base

    • Common characteristics EFF supporters exhibit on political topics as

    • Flexible: strong faith to potential changes in politics

    • Challenges status quo: want to change things and hope for the best

    • Risk takers: will commit to radical change, that is their motto by the way

    • Unshakable: believes in good promises because nothing is in good order in their personal experiences

After all politics is not an exact science, just as economics. Therefore everyone is entitled to their opinion at the expense of another one’s tolerance. Isn’t what freedom is all about?

Now go vote on the 7 May 2014 and numbers never lies if there is not rigging.
