Education and politics

26 May 2014, 15:17
It is very much disappointing to note with dissatisfaction the promotion of personnel in the education department.  If I may be allowed to do a research, I would not hesitate to research on "Appointments in the Education Department".  It will be a positive hypothesis to conclude that there is no clear criteria, it depends who you are, how connected are you.  Who ever would like to challenge me, let us do the research together, and we randomly take about 10 posts, and we investigate, starting from short-listing to appointments.  Please, I request whoever may challenge me, let us do it professionally so, and we embark on a research as professionals.  Look at the conduct of the personnel, starting from management of resources, not to mention money, to control measures in the schools.  The schools and the department offices are a battle of politics.  How is it possible to have an educator with a masters degree to be managed by a Principal with a Diploma, is that what we are encouraging in our schools.  We discourage teachers tofurther their education, and we say let politics take control of our schools.  The role of the SGB, through experience, it needs to be revisited.  LET US OPENLY ENGAGE IN A RESEARCH, YOU WILL GET THE OUT-COME, THEN YOU MAY PROOVE ME WRONG.  I AM READY FOR THE RESEARCH, COME I AM WAITING FOR THE CHALLENGE, NOT IN THE STREETS BUT IN THE CORRECT PLATFORM, DO NOT EXPECT ME TO SHOUT ON TOP OF MY VOICE, AND NO ONE WILL HEAR ME, LET US DO IT IN WRITTING, AND LET ALL MY LEARNED COLLEGUES HAVE A SAY WITHOUT INTIMIDATION.

Strategic Disruption

There is, for some reason, an attraction to falling in line, following the rules, and playing this business game by the books. If you want to be an agent for change within the company, and let them know that you are not just a minion, be disruptive. Read more...
