There are basic resources that are not available in our public schools in South Africa.
Books, Library, Science Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, enough Teachers, Internet, First Aid. etc.
who should provide these is not clear but we change systems every time we change the minister of basic education. changes are not making our education better and poor black people are suffering, becasue they receive quantity education.
changing the minister now is not going to change poor quality education black children receive from public schools. what we should be discussing is how to improve education system, maybe to equip pupil with skills that will enable them to find jobs, create their own businesses and contribute to the economy of the country. we should acknowledge that certain learners are meant to be academics while others can be skilled labour or they need to narture their practical skills and contribute to the economy.
why dont we diversify our education system to the extent that job related skills are also taught in schools, talents are narture in schools?
why governemnt and unions are not discussing how to capacitate schools with basic resources?
