END OF AN ERA
When I had completed the final article, or assumed it was the final article because some, as in my case, tend to get stuck in the machinery. It has not been easy hanging on as I have tried to do but ultimately I realised that it is not going to get better in the future or the distant future. People will not change but will remain as they are, feeling comfortable with what they are. We are all different. And that difference is what makes us human and that cannot be changed. When we step outside that parameter then we are lesser human. Initially I took the banter? And insults lightly but later read the venom in them. For what they were worth and came to the conclusion that trolling is the lowest form of communication. At one stage I tried it too but felt like a criminal afterwards.
What has become apparent is the band-wagon effect. I have noticed that should one user attack myself for whatever reason then there are another 100 waiting behind the curtains. This merely indicates lack of personal knowledge of the subject matter. I remember with some embarrassment the dressing down I gave to a rather young user: he was about 14 yrs old. I felt like a goon and apologised to him on Facebook.
Some have asked me to cut the dagga issue and the issues I may have with dagga. No sir, that will never happen while dagga is busy destroying lives.( what I will have here is a cacophony of dissidents clamouring for their recreational? Pastime? What I have here too is the unified clamour of dissidents who quote statements and all those statements can be embodied in a single line. Hence my article: “Backyard mechanics“ I no longer read articles on News 24 relating to cannabis because reading the first 3 paragraphs sums up the entire thought process of the author. My biggest problem with cannabis is that I have seen, up close, the consequences of the use thereof and still relate it to those less exposed to the realities. The usual answer is Zion-----Lies.
I, do find trolling an action of the lowest order, repugnant and the worst case is the almost sacrilegious attitude a troll exposed in an article I wrote relating to Suzanna York and her death. The comments I received were shocking to the lowest degree. That is persons, person, I can hardly relate with in reality. These people claim Christianity as their salvation. I would rather be an atheist.
Yet all is not darkness with Zion. My favourite comments occur on Friday nights and all of Saturdays when the rugby outcomes are being digested and filed for next Saturday: If there are 15 players on the field and 15 on the reserve bench it would be interesting to know the total combinations of the 30 players. In any position. When you have worked that out you could win the lottery.
