It is official...God, by definition, has limited powers. He is not all powerful, in fact his powers are limited by a man-made definition. Humans have finally brought him down to size, shown him what he really is, a man-made definition.
And we have to thank a christian for this revealing news. Willem Toerien on News24 revealed the stunning news, which goes as follows...
Start of quote
A: Contradicting objects cannot exist.
B: God, by definition, is the ultimate being, therefore to have a being more ultimate than god is a contradiction to the definition of god.
C: Therefore a created god, by definition, cannot exist.
I don't think I can make this argument any plainer. The term ultimate being means there is nothing more ultimate than that being otherwise it will not be the ultimate being.
End of quote
This effectively means that even God, who is supposed to be all-powerful, can by Willem Toerien's definition, not create another God equal and with the same (or more) powers than God because God would then not be the ultimate being. That means even God's powers are limited by man because this is a man-made definition.
This makes one think..if God cannot create another God as powerful as himself, maybe there is a SuperGod who can do this, and that God is not the ultimate being?
What if there is a SuperGod that is outside time and space and outside the framework of God and man, that created God and gave him limited powers not to be able to create another God and only to being allowed to create one universe. Supergod might have also limited God more e.g. not allowing God to show himself to humans on earth. That would explain why we never see God. SuperGod might also have limited God by letting God think he is the ultimate being and the meantime SuperGod is the ultimate being.
We would then need a new argument for SuperGod. Maybe we could amend Willem's argument for God to make an argument for the new SuperGod.
A: Contradicting objects can exist if created by SuperGod.
B: SuperGod, by definition, is not the ultimate being, therefore to have a being more ultimate than SuperGod is not a contradiction to the definition of SuperGod.
C: Therefore a created SuperGod, by definition, can exist.
and to give SuperGod the powers that God lack by Willem Toerien's definition...
D: SuperGod can create more ultimate beings than himself, giving them more powers than he has, making himself a less ultimate being
This definition would allow SuperGod all powerful status, that is.. until he creates a being more powerful than himself. So what do we call this then? How about..evolution?
