I have not been inside a video shop for many years. Last i remember a new release was R20 and i think you could get a free 1 with that.
Was not the 80's but over ten years ago. Now lets look at if a business is friendly SA or not.
MNET is and always was a pinacle of quality. They started with 300 decoders I was told, We were paying maybe R180 per month for the service. They grew and become a high earning brand.
Why are we facing yearly inflation where my MNET now costs R300 per month?? Is it not shocking that they cannot keep our rate fixed for ever, Its guaranteed money, They have less staff per Billion rand earned that one could imagine.few hundred employees and yet they rake in hundreds of Millions each month and will without a doubt grow 10% each year.
That is without extra customers, we just talking about raising the price each and very year.
Now they are are making Billions and yet we all keep quiet.
Mutlichoice will be a good company to analyze regarding a moral business venture in our country,
Why can they not make their hundred of millions, Why must it be Billions,???
Over R600 for DSTV it is crazy, we clearly need competition in SA now, They are running a mock,
It means at R20 per new release we are paying MNET for a new movie each and every day forever ??? Its wrong
They could afford to keep their prices low and have every south african able to watch TV.
Its not a new invention afterall, Lets stop people throwing their life savings at established business.
Its not fair, Everybody should be able to watch a DSTV and not pay more than R200 per month.
I say they set a tone which shows their greedy anti SA stance
My opinion
