Final Cannabis story

13 February 2013, 12:00

I will be the first to admit that I It was necessary  to  dig below the surface and in my case it did produce some fruits.

I even had to research the UK usage and compare it with that which is current in SA.  And that is where the paradox gave rise to the cannabis contradiction. Briefly, the English are producing by far more in their garage, amounting to tonne than what is imported into the country.  I read some of the opinions and reasons for legalising cannabis in the Uk and surprisingly 99% of the opinions were exactly the same as given by users on NEWS24. The advantage that the UK had was there the politicians are more active in their pro’s et Con’s and mainly anti-cannabis. In 1970 while in the army I received news that a female who I had know well had been killed in a high speed accident when the vehicle she was travelling in ran into the back of a truck. She was decapitated

The driver was out  of his mind on dagga. He was killed too.  In another case a friend while very young, somehow had access to cannabis and this habit prevailed until he was admitted to high school and later discharged from school because his mental capacity was too low to handle high school.  He was with me in the army. Years later he was killed while crossing a road and a motor vehicle ran into him. Instantly killed.  I had known this guy for many years and his addiction or inabilities, were obvious and he was mostly under the influence of cannabis. The enquiry indicated that he had accidents and fatalities will be questioned and probably rejected by the brigade.  My opinions will rest with the medical fraternity. Adios amigo
