Goodbye South Africa

07 January 2014, 07:52
I do not support crime or criminals.

Never have I purchased stolen goods, pirated DVDs or fake clothing brands.

Supporting criminals means supporting crime, which leads to more crime and also more criminals.

In effect supporting criminals contributes directly crime which in turn makes you a criminal.

This made me wonder, why do I pay tax? Does paying tax not also directly contribute to crime?

If we look at the theft and misuse of tax payers money, it is surely a crime.

A president spending hundreds of millions of Rands on a personal security complex, built by crooked corrupted vultures who did not flinch whilst stealing millions.

An e-toll road system, supposedly built for the people whilst foreign entities reap the benefits of its income.

Ministers funding private trips, entertainment, vehicles and extravagant houses with my tax money.

Once again, I wonder, why do I pay tax?

Why do I keep throwing fuel on this malicious fire of a government which is clearly out of control.

Why do I keep paying like a sheep, who does not know any better?

I make a modest income and live a modest life. Everything make and own, I have had to work hard for.

For the past year, my owed tax will be approximately a third of my income. Which means that one third off all my hard work, late nights and stressful days are going to criminals.

The worst kind of criminals, the type who rob your house and invite you over for dinner a week later to show you their new furniture.

The type of criminals who will hijack you and a week later offer you a lift in your own car.

Smiling all the way.

Well I am sick of it.

I have truly had enough.

This year I will actively work towards relocating my business abroad.

South Africa will always be my heart and my home.

If I do manage to relocate, I will always keep an eye on current affairs, abide my time and return once this cancer of a government has changed their ways.

The only problem is that I truly believe that as long as the ANC is in power, crime and corruption will flourish.

So it will be sad farewell but like this, I cannot go on.
