The much anticipated cadre game Grand Theft Zuma has finally hit the shelves! We will look at the key features of the game, sure to tantalize your pixel receptors and flex your fingers (especially the middle one).
Set in the various location in South Africa, this game allows you to explore the beauty of urban and rural new South Africa (the last 20 years are covered) while participating in your very favourite pass times depending on the current level you are on. Featuring lifelike graphics and awesome soundtracks including songs like "ANC will rule until Jesus comes" and the new hit "Bible says respect the government no matter what we do", along with the classics like "shoot the boer", being a corrupt politician has never been such fun...and all of this with no consequences!
Your mission is simple: amass as much wealth as possible, while screwing everyone else you dare. Starting out as a lowly ex prisoner of the previous oppressive regime (check out the old game Grand Theft Apartheid), work yourself up the political food chain of the ANC (ahh who remembers the torture level Quatro Camp in the previous game), while slyly removing anyone that opposed you, even your cadres. I tell you, there is nothing quite like the feeling of removing a previous president forcefully...
Once you have built your army of followers, start an all-out plundering spree for any resources you can grab, bonus points for the least amount of effort will be awarded. This version also includes the city planer mode, where you can implement etolls, as yet another form of soft taxing to loot.
The action scenes are beautifully rendered, especially the Marikana level...you got to keep that mine money rolling for success. Unlearn all your morals for profit, as the story line progresses.
Beware the corruption meter, the more that builds up the more those pesky citizens start bothering you with law suits and media coverage of your past wondrous exploits (don’t want to give away to much but in one level you need to deal with over 700 corruption charges!!).
Wonderful customizable house building mode, allows you to build a palace befitting your status, with almost no limit on budget, as you progress you will be able to build grander and greater structures, all at taxpayers money.
Gain extra influence for allowing other players exclusive access to the state funds, popular names like Pansy and Pule will play with you, and you can drop them as soon as they are inconvenient.
A special hidden level (the shower level) will allow you to start romantic relations with a cadres daughter, even against her will...in addition to all your wives (no limit set for the game! Woohooo!)
Another great mini game is the abducting of students from the road while in your blue light brigade, where you can put a sack over their heads and intimidate the big Jesus out of them.
Featuring some new weapons, the possibilities are endless:
1.) The new Mac the Mouth machine gun, allowing you to shoot at whole population groups in fierce reaction to anyone daring to challenge you.
2.) BEE/AA mines; nothing lays the economy to waste while enriching yourself and a few select cadres quite like these babies
3.) The Denial Launcher: Spread lies and deceit by launching attacks of denial at any opposition, not allowing for any criticism.
4.) The all-time favourite, the race card, which can be used at any time for any purpose, whether applicable or not.
5.) Finally the religious justification, twist the good book to your own needs. Blasphemy you say? No worries, its not like anyone can prove you are wrong. And playing on religious beliefs is ohh so satisfying.
At high enough levels invite foreign thugs to the country, and allow them exclusive access to military bases....don’t worry you can always sacrifice some people if things get a little too hot for comfort...
Yes the list goes one, there is practically no end to the damage you can do to the economy, and even the very moral fabric of the country.
10/10 for realism
10/10 for lack of accountability
9/10 for wealth gained (ahh there is never enough is there now?)
Really looking forward to the "fair" elections add-on; it’s going to be a blast!
