It seems that the new god of this age has to be the god Evolution. Unlike the gods of past, Neptune, Poseidon, Zeus, and other mythical gods, this is a real god that is transforming and has been transforming the world since the beginning of time. Science without doubt has proven the existence of transformed beings, i.e. a monkey does exist who has laid the foundation for a human.
This is a force, a power that shapes the ape into walking upright and to become one of the foundational sub-species of the human species. This is the same power that enabled the fish to crawl onto land to become the earliest of reptiles.
More importantly, without this guiding hand could a monkey have become a man or a fish a reptile? This is a serious question as the theory of evolution assumes that there is an inbuilt ability within our biological structures to make those decisions that sprout the wings, or discard the wings. To use an analogy, it seems as if there is this built in computer that is constantly evaluating a creature’s circumstance, the ability to forage, the efficiency of its stride, and making decisions over aeons to transform it from one state to another in its best interest.
The computer is amongst other things busy making decisions about new limbs and how these limbs should work, about removing appendages no longer needed, or figuring out new ways to eat (with hands perhaps). The being is been meticulously guided through a process of transformation purely based on its circumstances.
This computer also exists for all types of beings (and plants) and is constantly making decisions for each as to what best suits that creature’s circumstance. All these computers tick along in parallel not only making decision for what is best for its creature but the computers at the same time have to forge a harmonious balanced system so that all creatures can co-exist in a balanced system.
Continuing with the computer analogy, this has to be a networked super computer for now not only does it make decisions about each being (animals/plants/insects/other specifies) but it also makes a collective decision for the best interest of all as a whole. Should this therefore not be a god?
