The greatest minds of our century get together and decide to confront God in all his might. Now God having seen his creation evolve over countless years humors them and sends an angel to attend the conference.
The first scientist stands up and claims that he has managed to build an artificial intelligence that can rival that of any man. The next one gives concrete proof that with the use of collider they can create elements not even found in nature and can split the atom into any number of lesser products. The next presents his findings on the production of lightning and rain.
The presentation of man's accomplishments goes on for several days ending with the final tea presenting their artificial cell as proof that man has now mastered the power to create basic life and as such has rivaled God. The evidence compelling and the angel is astounded by all that man has made and declares he will present this to God directly and get back to them once he has an answer to mans claim of being equal to God.
The scientist all smug prepare for what they assume will be a long wait when the angel re-appears moments later with the answer: "God is very impressed with all of your work but asks that you do it again but use your own raw materials this time."
