Hijacking The Lord's Day(s)

19 March 2013, 07:26
Easter is almost in our shores and millions of Christians will be celebrating this magnificent day, even though some confuse Easter celebration with fun and games. Easter is the most typically well observed and attended Sunday services of the year for different Christians in different churches

Hijacking The Lord's Day(s)
Biblically there is no connection between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and common modern traditions of Easter bunny and Easter egg. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not related in anyway to the Easter egg  and the bunny.

Christmas is the annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, but often Christians have to "compete" with the tales of Santa clause. These products are well marketed in order to taint the image of Christ and the Lord's days. Funny enough, all these Easter eggs, Easter bunny and Santa clause are linked to important days in Christian fraternity.

Christians must never allow the Lord's days to be overshadowed with 'nonsense". The resurrection of Jesus from the dead demonstrate the promises of eternal life. Jesus Christ's resurrection is most worthy of being celebrated everyday, not only certain days.
