Hitler was not a Christian - A response.

11 June 2014, 10:32
I have been a non Christian for many years and you will never find me quoting scripture to reinforce Christianity, You will not find me admitting my Christianity or offering up my faith as a virtue. Hitler was one of the most powerful men in the world and the most powerful in Germany, Why would he offer up faith as a virtue, Why would he align his movement with the Church and with faith?
Denying his Christianity is disingenious and I know you can quote the "By his fruits" verse, using that to deny his Christianity. Let's strat with the question what is a Christian, note I did not say a TRUE CHRISTIAN (TM). A Christian is an individual that follows Christ and his teachings. Teachings that include love they neighbour, thou shalt not judge and that not one jot or tittle of the law shall change.
Hitler made the statement often in various places that he was a Christian, He saw the war against the Jews, The Atheists and various other groupings as a holy war. "Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." Adolf Hitler. Hitler was a believer in Christ, thought his war against Jewry a "jihad" a holy war, justified by his Bible. I could quote a whole pile of Adolph's thoughts and scribblings but Atheitis needs something to do.
Claims have been made that Hitler was an Atheist. Let's look at this in some detail. Against a decree that stated "No National Socialist may suffer detriment on the ground that they don't make any religious profession at all." Hitler strongly opposed Godless Communism. In 1933 all Germany's Left Wing free Thinking Organisations were banned. By the mid 1930's all free thought organisations were banned.  In 1933 Hitler claimed to have stamped out the Godless freethought movement. Sounds like an atheist right?
He was a believer in Nordic Pagan Mythology it was said. Truth be told one of Hitler's henchment Alfred Rosenberg (How did he skip the gas chamber with that name?) undertook a campaign to promote Nordic Pagan mythology. There is however no evidence that any one of the top leadership of the Nazi Party actually believed that woo woo.
"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people." Adolph Hitler 1922
At the time of his death Adolph was still considered a practicing Catholic, Unlike Goebels and some others that had been excommunicated.
“With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion" Steven Weinberg
Hitler could kill as many as he liked because on Sunday he would be forgiven.
