As I read in today's media comments made by this religious leader and that religious leader you can't help but think that humanity is facing a dire situation regarding matters of faith and how we take action to express that faith.
The US is entertaining a Mormon president in its presidential race!Muslim led countries are becoming more and more radical!Fighting amongst different branches of Islam are becoming more and more apparent and the intransigence of smaller religions is growing!
The Catholic church is showing signs of moral decay and scandal reigns supreme! Now through out history it is true that religion has played a major part in all war and conflict and it is the one sole reason for much of mankind's suffering and societies suffering,so realizing this truth, as a concerned person I have to draw certain conclusions,we are facing a time in history that will bring great strife and uncertainty resulting in radicalization of peoples religious views and the desperate actions that will come about as a result of this phenomena!
How is it possible that our human race continues to make the same error time and time again as we strive to create our civilization?What is it that causes us to fall into the same trap over and over again?Perhaps we must admit to ourselves the paradox that man cannot live without God and also cannot live with the presence of God in our lives!
That all man touches or embraces will be subjected to the greatest folly of mankind i.e our inability to learn from our mistakes!Perhaps mankind doesn't deserve God in our lives and we are soon to be subjected to his all encompassing wrath sooner rather than later..perhaps this explains the ratcheting up of fundamental Islamic views as this religion next to Judaism are the most orthodox faiths in the world today..faiths that practice a strict adherence to the letter of Gods word,the same word that has a common thread through all religious texts no matter what religion proposes them!
Perhaps Christian countries need to start to listen to these other two faiths?perhaps the fate of our present civilization depends upon this?
