Sometimes the hypocrisy of some stances/ideologies amaze me...
There is always “Religion does that...” and”Religion does this...” .
But let's look at the foundations of them to verify their creditability...
“Organized Atheism is now a franchise.
Yesterday, The Sunday Assembly—the London-based “Atheist Church” that has, since its January launch, been stealing headlines the world over—announced a new “global missionary tour”
“The Assembly has come a long way in eight months: from scrappy East London community venture (motto: “Live Better, Help Often and Wonder More;” method: “part atheist church, part foot-stomping good time”) to the kind of organization that sends out embargoed press releases about global expansion projects. “The 3,000 percent growth rate might make this non-religious Assembly the fastest growing church in the world,” organizers boast.”
“For a corporate empire needs an executive board; a brand needs brand managers; a federation needs a strict set of guiding tenets—and consequences for those who stray from the fold. And isn’t that all wholly opposed to Freethought?”
from that article the author quotes Albert Einstein, a noted atheist according to author ( actaully a deist):
“To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms—this knowledge, this feeling, is at the center of true religiousness. In this sense, and in this sense only, I belong in the ranks of devoutly religious men.”
These two were also little gems
I received a lot of criticism about saying one can be indoctrinated with atheism. The view in general was that only the religious can be indoctrinated and that indoctrination wasan exclusively religious concept...
and found this informative book on the subject...
I also had a conversation with a gentleman that placed his first article on News24, and was very proud of it...This was it...
We started chatting about LeVeyan Satanism and some interesting things was stated..
“André Fox Sorry as ek jou …. And that's good enough for me!

I asked him about this link...
Ek haal aan: "We base our lives on reality, not on spiritual pipedreams!" Survival of the fittest.

The bolded text was what I found quite telling . An atheist could reject anything that he want by his or her own free will, and that would not involve any evidence of any sorts... just a opinion
I discussed this with some people, and after many definitions were given and disagreement on if atheism/ and or LeVeyan Satanism was a ideology or philosophy. The main disagreement was that the LeVeyans had several principles which guides them
This one described it best...http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/precept
“1 : a command or principle intended especially as a general rule of action
2 : an order issued by legally constituted authority to a subordinate official”
This would clearly place atheism and or LeVeyan's Satanism as ideology / philosophy... See the link about LaVeyan
Some reading to understand the difference between the two
Also on a Facebook group called Militant Atheists South Africa started by an author that posts regularly on N24 had this in his “About” section.
The purpose of this group is to help arm Atheists that engage in debate with facts, news, reason and evidence to use so that you are always engaging with the truth behind your arguments. This is not a debate room, or is it of any interest to an atheist not interested in debate with theists. It is only helpful to those who need to be able to come across to theists as credible, with credible sources of information.
Militant atheism differs from normal atheism in that we have an active desire to propagate atheism and secular humanism through rational discussion, critical thinking, promoting positive atheism and maintaining separation of church and state. We do not stone believers, burn them at the stake or strap bombs to ourselves. We don't dehumanize people in any way (they can do that to themselves) or force our will onto others. We simply believe the world would be better off without religion, and try to achieve that goal.
Schools and Hospitals before Churches.
Deeds before Prayers.
Our reward is in Life and not Death.
Disease, poverty and war to be eliminated, not exploited." “
No, we can remember in one of my earlier articles where I asked a question about the Life's simple truth regarding atheists behaviour... quite contradictory if we think about things said in that article and the above “About” section
So, after all this information we can clearly see there is a lot of hypocrisy with some ideologies/ philosophies. It is just for them to realize it of reject it as the person in the article above stated
"Do as thou wilt." or is it "Reject as thou wilt."
