The seasoned South African atheist seems to be sending a message that although they have encountered and experienced religion and God in their lives, they have seen the light and simply do not believe. So because they do not believe they are not accountable for any Christian or moral code because it is irrelevant. They have been let down or they did not think about the spirit in the first place.
So instead of acknowledging maybe it is not a good idea for certain behaviours to be enforced through a religion or God, and be associated with this – simply just don’t ‘believe’? Instead of being openly annoyed about your heritage linked with a religion, rather than upset the family and friends, the light is being an atheist?
Among us are the reptiles (no-soul) and the humans (with a soul). The soul evolves, the reptiles live forever.
