There are plenty of people, many on this forum, who don't like me much.
Maybe it's because I ask tricky questions. Maybe it's because I don't follow the herd most of the time. Maybe they don't like my face, or they don't 'get' my admittedly sarcastic sense of humour.
That's perfectly okay though.
You see, this is MY journey. I have 168 hours every week, for (hopefully) about 70 years, to discover everything there is to know about myself, the world, and everything else.
That sort of discovery requires you to turn over a lot of 'rocks' and sometimes, there are scorpions under them thar rocks.
One of my latest discoveries has been my Jungian personality type, and it's been a lot of fun exploring those explanations of the inner workings of my mind.
I am INTJ - Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking and Judging. I am, according to Jungian psychology, the analyst of the spectrum of personality types.
Probably explains my low tolerance for bullshit of any kind, AND my propensity to come right out and call it that.
If you have been offended by this aspect of my personality (which, if you are a member of the god squad, or a racist idiot, is highly likely) then don't be. It's my nature to be like this.
One of the benefits of being predisposed to abrasiveness is that my low threshold for bullshit tolerance tends not to be tested too often. I meet people, I tell it to them straight, and they either stick around or they don't.
It's a fabulous way to go through life, because you never have to put that fake smile on your face when you're around people you don't like!
I will never stop questioning. I will never not be sarcastic, and I will never stop trying to learn more about myself and the world.
So if you're one of those people who get upset by that sort of thing, may I suggest that you don't read my posts? Because you won't like them.
And if you're one of those kinds of people that WANT to learn more about the world, and yourself, may I suggest taking the Jungian personality test? It's quite a fascinating area of study, and it should, at the very least, give you something new to explore for a while.
Because life is all about questions and learning, and we don't have time for complacency!
Most importantly though, learn to like yourself. You should like yourself when you're alone, when you're poor, when you're rich, when you're on top or down in the dumps.
If you can't do that, or if you let the opinions of other people sculpt who you are, then you really are wasting your life.
