A friend driving through Jo’burg this morning had a half brick thrown through his car window during the service delivery protest. I’m sure there are of you who had this happen before.
My question is: how the hell does it help to harm people who you aren't really angry at? It boggles my mind.
I’m sorry to say but it just goes to show how most people in this country do not possess the ability to think straight. You’re angry at your local and or national government. You start throwing bricks and other weapons all willy-nilly; injuring or even possibly killing someone. Then we have an even bigger issue at hand. I’m not saying that poor to no service delivery is not a big issue but is it necessary to harm other people in your dismay?
South Africa is known for the unorthodox way in which we show our unhappiness. I think it’s great but common sense has really gone down the drain in the process.
It just needs to stop.
What do you think?
