I have a dream

24 February 2014, 11:28

I HAVE A DREAM

I was born and bred in a quiet hamlet in the rural areas where I was taught good morals; to respect myself and all the people around me. My loving parents used to tell me that all people are children of God and He loves each one of them indiscriminately. They advised me not to look down on anybody, whether sane or insane, wise or stupid, able or disabled, healthy or ill, etc. They taught me to avail myself for church services at all times, to pray and praise our creator, now today I’m appalled by cumulative immoral acts sweeping through our country day and night. I have heard about the rape, murder and disemboweling of innocent kids in the Cape, in the North West, in Mpumalanga and almost everywhere. How long has the most gruesome gangsterism been going on in the Cape Flats? Imagine an eighty odd old granny raped!! I wonder if God is still omnipresent, more especially when I learned from the media about a pastor who impregnated all his three daughters, his blood daughters, this is their church pastor father, instructing for his daughters to come to his room for prayers, then instruct them to remove their clothes and lie down and eventually having sex with them whilst their mother, his wife had gone to work for five weekdays and return for the weekend, in an attempt to complement his pay!! I cringed; really this is a disgrace or rather opprobrium. But he is not the only one, every day in the media, we read about cumulative, augmented distasteful and abhorrent misdemeanours and statutory rapes and many more, countless.

Teachers, Government officials, political leaders, churches, parents have spoken, dissuaded and reprimanded the wrong-doers to renounce violence against one another, children, women and all but there is no improvement neither amelioration, especially as the perpetuators and instigators are the same people inflicting this from the darkness. Look how corrupt they are!! There is no hope as long as they themselves don’t start behaving and leading by example. Be exemplary then people will follow you in your steps!! If you do well, they’ll do better, if you are bad, they’ll be worse because you are leading them in that direction. Live what you preach!

Now since all the goodness that we are yearning for is not there not even in the foreseeable future, now I have no option but to collaborate with ACDP views and its manifesto. I’m not a member and I will not be one but I think our lives and country governance need a Divine intervention. I have a dream that a national and probably a world call for Prayers is needed urgently before the whole world is engulfed and swallowed in flames of intolerance, greed and hate and also police atrocities upon people who pay their salaries and ordinary citizens who are looking at them for protection but only the contrary prevails. I have a dream that since all and everybody agrees that we have God looking upon us, a Father to us all, be the witches, nyangas, sangomas, doctors, Satanists, etc. let us call an international day of prayer so that we all stop everything we are doing say; for five minutes. The whole world, everybody else on it to observes and honour the call on a specific world clock time and pray seriously. Really God will hear us and answer our pleas and help us with our problems because I have realised that nobody and no political party has the powers to deal with all these, positively and successfully. What do you think Satan will feel like and what do you think what will become of him. I believe he will wither and die and his dead body will fall missing landing on the land and land in the sea for whales to feast on it. I have a DREAM.
