Why is it hard to say I love you? I have to mention that you have only thought of the relationship between man and woman in it’s romantic sense. What about saying, ‘I love you’ to parents, sibling and friends.
How many of us take our parents for granted? Surely all of us but how many take the time to appreciate their struggle to make things good for their children? Agreed, since they gave birth to us, it’s their duty to rear us, but words of gratefulness and love will work wonders to rejuvenate their spirits, affection for us. I know it’s considered odd, funny even in Indian culture to say words of affection for one’s parents, but have you tried it, try it and see the way your mom blushes and dad hides his face behind the newspaper. On one hand they feel awkward, but on the other they feel immensely satisfied that their children have taken note if them as human beings and not just providers, givers of the necessities of life.
