“If it is in your mind, you are most likely to say or do it.”
Do not say or do anything and then justify yourself by saying you did not mean to say or do it, the fact that you said or did it simply means that you meant to say or do it, your conscious just accomplished what you already had in your sub-conscious.
This is one of the internal battles and fights we are faced with each day, and nobody knows about them, not even our spouses.
When an unjust thought crosses your mind, don’t let it just pass by without scrutinizing it.
We may be driven by unwanted emotional and mental conditions to say or do certain things but the moment it manifests in the physical means we have allowed it to get that far instead of challenging it while it was still inside.
We cannot stop the circulation of thoughts in our minds but we have the ability to control the process and to chose which ones we like and which ones to discard.
And those we allow to dominate our minds will surely play part in our vocabulary and in our behaviour.
Every action, behaviour or word starts from a thought, and if we commit to controlling our thoughts more effectively and as they arise, damage control will not be necessary.
When we say or hear words or experience behaviours that are hurtful from our loved ones, we normally think or believe that they just emerged there and there or during that situation, but the reality is that a thought has been planted way before it came to manifest. Most of these unjust thoughts, words or actions are influenced by what we see or hear around us, hence it’s very important to guard our soul through what we see or hear.
The world we live in is constantly changing, and in one way or another these changes affects some if not most of the areas of our lives, thus it is important that we constantly renew our minds with the word of truth, for it is our armour and a shield towards unjust thoughts which will create unwanted behaviours and somehow disrupt our lives.
We can only say or do something that is already in our mind, right? So, if it is or has been in your mind, you are most likely to say or do it, unless you deny it access the moment it knocks on your mind. What’s been on your mind lately? Healthy or unhealthy thoughts?
