Life is the greatest equaliser. There are threads, commentaries and profound insights about the world at large but this is just a myriad of the concept that energy remains equal and it is just the force and application hereof that creates movement.
Descartes said we are just looking into a mirror and what we experience is a reflection of ourselves. Big egos are macroeconomic and shy ones are micro economic. Cosmetics eases the dullness, as does alcohol and the camera encourages the Picture of Dorian Gray.
Oscar Wilde said nothing in life is right or wrong, it is how you do it. Oscar Wilde is actually quite prevalent regarding Oscar Pistorious with reference to his Des Profundis. He too was adored by society and committed an act which was deemed unfavourable. He believed a court of his peers would grant him freedom however in his gaol he had to re-assess his perceptions.
In my opinion, the recessions are proving to be a redistribution of wealth. Like the river that meanders, eroding rocks and creating new paths, the quantity of the water has not diminished. Just re-routed. Where the water once provided irrigation to a settlement, it is now busy pushing new boundaries.
Companies are merging, mechanising and being more multi-tasked. We need to be the birds flying over this river in order to catch the next wave.
