In short (cutting out a lot of noise), proponents of IC would assert that the complexity of the universe and life could never have come about without an intelligent hand guiding it. This, they would say, is evidence for God.
But, assuming (for the sake of argument) that this logic holds, I wish to ask responders to explain how it gets us anywhere. Using your logic, it is fair to assume that a designer is more complex than that which s/he designed, not so?
How, then, do you escape (without special pleading) exposing an infinite regress, where you have simply replaced one question mark with another and then another and then another? Why does our complex universe require a creator in your mind, whereas God (who is necessarily more complex) does not?
Remember that you will have to explain away any use of special pleading, so, for example, if you assert that "God is a necessary being" you will have to explain why I cannot say "ours is a necessary universe".
In closing, may I ask that you attempt, as far as is possible on this forum, to stick to what is asked.
