Irresponsible excessive speeding causes danger for others

30 May 2014, 12:28

Irresponsible excessive speeding puts human and animal lives in danger. Please help reduce this!

I call on individuals and communities to practise responsible driving and not speed as you are putting HUMAN and ANIMAL lives in danger!

Shall I repeat this?

Pay extra attention when driving alongside (parallel to) parks and especially when humans and animals (cats, dogs…) are walking in the streets day or night.

It is unacceptable for to lose a life because of speeding.

Ad hearing to speed limits and the traffic laws are the ways in keeping safe, even if others do not.

Be the responsible one.

If you have lost a love one or pet from this, you would understand my concerns. I have lost two cats, how many more should I lose?

It is awesome driving fancy new and fast vehicles, but is there a point in these fast vehicles if there are speed limits?

One suggestion would be, if one wants to speed, go to a race track like Kyalami race track to let out your energy and egos.

I have come to some conclusions why people speed and they are: to show off, the increase in vehicles on the road which cause more traffic which can makes one late so one has to speed to get to ones destinations in time, time management, traffic lights, accidents or slow drivers. All these contribute to aggressive driving and speeding.

With the price of petrol so high, can one really afford to speed? The faster one drives, the more petrol one uses.

Please help reduce this. Arrive alive.
