Is gun control reasonable?

15 January 2013, 13:13

Is it reasonable for the police to expect that people should live a life in fear of criminals the police have not arrested and insist that people must comply with the criminal's demands?

Is it reasonable to reward criminals and expect anyone to beg for their life and offer all they own in return for miscreants and societies rejects not harming them?

Is it reasonable to demand that people rely on the police for protection when the police have no duty to protect them and it is impossible for the police to do so?

Is it reasonable to blame the victim for the crime and subsequent crime?

Is it reasonable to expect people to forfeit their rights to self-defence with the best means available because it is hoped some unproven belief public safety would be increased?

Is it reasonable to force firearm owners to comply with, help and pay for the means to their disarmament and loss of property?

Is it reasonable to expect people to believe that tenuous, vague and unproven unrelated statements used to promote gun control are proof of anything?

Is it reasonable that we as citizens are expected to support a law, which is built on a deliberate lie and endangers public safety?

Is it reasonable to neglect and treat with contempt the stakeholders and never ever consult on the policy of legislation?

Is it reasonable to expect people not to complain and object to the manner in which government rejects valid input and objection to any law now and in the past?

It is reasonable to oppress a segment of society because lies have been told and propaganda spread in order to oppress people who want to protect themselves from criminals the police have not arrested or government reduced?

Is it reasonable to ignore those who have only the interest of the public at heart when they warn and point out the danger and consequences of following the lies and distortions of gun control?

There is absolutely no evidence to show that any of the demands of gun control can possibly reduce crime or the supply guns to criminals nor will it increase public safety.

It's time to scrap these laws and put the thousands upon thousands of police man hours per day and billions wasted into arresting criminals and solving crime rather than chasing the myth guns cause crime.

A gun off the street is a cop wasting time and a crime not solved.
