Often, I hear people saying that love is blind and that is why they are in relationships they are now. For some reasons I do not believe that love is really blind, and sometimes thing that it does not exist.
People of the same group/class always happen to be in love relationship. For an example, a construction worker (labourer) will only date a person of his/her class. You will never see him/her dating a singer nor a doctor nor a model.
Here is the thing, a village boy who grew up with a dream of marrying a beautiful lady from far places will find it difficult to marry a lady from cities. The only time he will find it easy to date one is when he makes it to the university (not just any university, the university which is in the city), choose a career which will allow him to work only in the cities and change his life style and live like a city boy. This will allow him to date and marry a city girl who is a university student and that makes them people of the same class.
Maybe it is because I do not travel a lot, but where have you seen and/or heard that celebrity is dating someone from the farms? If one happens to date a celebrity surely this person must be rich.
Here is the thing, celebrities date celebrities and/or the rich and famous. The educated date the educated, the construction labourers date the drop outs and/or the poor. Because I only managed to pass standard 10 in 1998 do you think I can date Kanyi Mbau? No. Do you think I can date Vabakshni Chety (SABC 3 news reader)? No. Do you think I can date a CA, a Doctor, an Engineer? No. Do you think I can date a waitress at Wimpy, a security guard at Fidelity? Yeah. See what I mean.
If we choose who to love and/or date, why do we say love is blind? If love was blind I would be dating Ms South Africa but because it is not I cannot even stand a chance to great her.
Correct me if I am wrong and prove me that love is really blind.
