Wow, How wonderful, Now , we as a black people wants to have a black Pope, No, We demand one. its our turn, So I hear.…………………What’s wrong with this picture you may ask?
Nothing I presume, we live in a global village, and everyone should become who they want to be. Damn, If I’m born black, I have the option to change my skin colour to something I like. Something that will make me more acceptable, and maybe with some luck, make me most wanted by the girls. (excuse me, I’m a man, and what man does not have a random dream of becoming the light skinned hunk amongst the women?) I can always twig my facial features to obtain the image I so much desire. Who are you to tell me what I should, or shouldn’t do. We live in a democratic society, and to hell with everybody else. Right?
But I disagree, This thinking, and everything around it confuses the daylight out of me. The idea about a black Pope sounds to me like…..We have two guys…..John and Sipho.
John goes to Sipho’s house, and demand to become the head of that household. John wants to take Sipho’s duties, and pleasures, because somehow John believe he is entitled to get some into some of the action Sipho’s has been getting all along, and John somehow think it is his turn too…………….. But John did not marry Thoko for him to demand to have a piece of her. John did not build the house, and John most definitely does not belong in that household. My question is, while John yearns to take over the duties of Sipho, what happens to those duties that he was meant or supposed to tend too? Having a black Pope to me is tantamount to having Price Charles of England coming to South Africa and demand to be instated as the head of the House of traditional Healers.That’s absurd right? But we expect the reverse to happen in the case of the Pope. What kind here?
Why do we as black people want to push for a black POPE in some foreign land. A land with its own foreign practices, and culture of ancestral worship.(trust me on this one, Jesus, if he existed, is an ancestors to the Jews) We want to engage and take over their ancestors. Who are they supposed to worship if we steal their ancestors? That isn’t fair towards them. But its really their own fault.. The same people brought us their Bible and told us not to worship our own ancestors. They demanded of us to worship their light skinned ancestors. That’s blasphemy is you ask me.
You then wonder why your prayers don’t get answered, It’s not a question of God doing things in his own time, it’s a matter of the European’s Ancestors not knowing you. They don’t even understand your language man. You bailed out on your own ancestors, remember, and you tried to exchange your ancestors for white ancestors.Are we as a black nation that bankrupt of pride, self worth, and self esteem we end up looking up to other foreign people’s cultures, traditions, and religion, Have we lost our own historical significance we now hunger to make our own what does not belong to us? Why can’t we be proud of our own inheritance, and actually start promoting it to the world, instead of trying to steal what does not belong to us. Why can’t we push for our own recognition in our own right, and make others want to follow what we do? Who said our practices were inferior? Who said out Gods were inferior? Who sold us all those lies? Ever wondered why we as a black folk always get the shortest end of the stick. Ever wondered why our forefathers remained slaves for that long. That’s because we sold out our own. We sold out our Gods, and we worshiped the Gods of the colonizers, the God of the slave traders, and the Gods of our oppressors. Our Gods are angry at us, that’s why we are suffering the way we do. We disowned or allowed others to make us disown ourselves and our ancestors. We shaping ourselves around the image of what we perceive as good, namely white. As a friend of mine ( @Glen Ramola) posted on his facebook wall.

People think this is just fashion to fake themselves, but they forget that they were made the way they are for a reason. They are made perfect, but someone sold them the idea that black was not good enough, Someone told them to be recognized they had to mimic their white counter parts, and behave like them and the reward would be acceptance in that circle of life. Coll he?
The tragedy in that is, you expect them to respect you after you sold out who you are ,,,Who are you kidding?
