It is generally believed that a first impression is an everlasting impression but quite often it is the very last impressions that can haunt us of which these two pictures say it all, something which no words can describe.
In the first picture you will note a smile from the face of an Icon now a legend for centuries to come.
In my own opinion the first picture displays the face of a humble man having conquered which few men before him has achieved in all of the history of mankind, now being responsible for a paradigm shift in our attitudes towards the whole of humanity.
Sadly in the second picture it could very well be the face of a man captive in sorrow, an image that has captured my mind, an image that will follow me for the rest of my life. Not even for a moment should we have underestimated the intelligence of Nelson Mandela.
Even though many might blindly believe so, or just conveniently having avoided the truth thereof, Mandela was certainly not blind to the truth of that which still enslaves the world under a minority of self-centered greed. A minority made up of all shapes and sizes, all colors, all creeds, but especially those that oppress their very own race and blood.
If it was up to Mandela and not his Creator, he would certainly not have rested until the last person on this planet was taken care of.
I believe that everything that Mandela ever stood for, with the needs of others first and foremost in his mind, is quite the opposite of many of those in whom he entrusted his faith, and regrettably so.
With the truth to be told, the majority of humanity has failed him miserably but it’s never too late to make a difference.
The only way possible for humanity to honor the vision of such a great legend, especially those in whom he entrusted his faith, would be to lead by example, eternalizing his vision.
This is how I intend to honor and will remember Nelson Mandela.
