J Arthur Brown

16 May 2013, 12:53

J. Arthur Brown just proved, yet again, that the rich and famous are above the law in South Africa – not even to mention if high profile – and especially politicians might be involved.  Besides him being obviously guilty, and that is a subject I can write books about, I just want to know, in this day and age, how the proverbial right hand is not aware what the left hand is doing??!!

I mean, here is a man who has been unemployed for more than five years, living on a luxury golf estate. He had various legal teams working on his case over these years – and they never come for free. Now he is going to pay (if not already) a R150 000 fine…!!??...interesting…

Where are SARS and the Hawks, amongst others?? How is this possible?? Why don’t anyone investigate where this money has been coming from? Sure, he is staying with his girlfriend…,but can she show where the R25k rent a month is coming from?

Surely he still might have friends left who could pick up the legal bills…have anyone looked whether they can prove they paid it with legitimate, after tax money, not to mention, afford it?

And not least, who is going to pick up the R150k bill??...and will he/ she be able to show where that came from??

Millions of Rands just disappeared. The convict claiming that it is not gone – it’s in a company!!?? Does he really think everyone are morons??!!  If it’s in a company and the company has a bank account, why did he not just give the banking details to the investigators.

Bottom line: yet another fraudster just walked away with other peoples millions, but not a single investigator, as far as I can see, ever asks the above basic questions – let alone SARS, who knows how to get hold of our ordinary people trying to make an honest living. Our legal system is completely rotten!! In this country  you should kill and steal big!! Assault and petty theft are clearly punished much more severely!!!

Gangs in Durban

Like most people who watched Carte Blanche this Sunday, I was flabbergasted by the comments of Brigadier Sayers, who stated that there are no gang activities in Wentworth. That the four drive-by shootings that occurred on Christmas day were just part of general festive activities. Read more...
