The South African Jewish community has called for a boycott of Ster Kinekor because they feel that the posters displayed at Ster-Kinekor’s Cinema Nouveau in Rosebank are not historically correct. I think the posters displayed do not go far enough to explain what is really happening in Israel
There are many reasons why I say the posters don’t go far enough. Israel has not ended its theft of Palestinian lands. Many Israelis have the yearning for a greater Israel from the Euphrates to the Nile. Israelis refer to the West Bank as “Judea and Samaria” and they have no intention of returning it to the Palestinians. Jerusalem, the City of the three Abrahamic religions is being Judaized and Christian areas will not be spared. Jews plan to destroy Musjid ul Aqsa (The entire area around the Dome of the Rock) and build a temple in its place. If we do not support BDS (http://www.bdsmovement.net/) Israel intends continuing with these plans unhindered.
Former Iranian President outraged the Jewish community when he described Israel as a, “disgraceful blot” that should be "wiped off the face of the earth". Where is the outrage from the International Community when Jews wiped Palestine off the face of the Earth ?
As South Africans we know that Apartheid is not right, although we might have benefited so much from it, at the expense of the indigenous population. How fearful were we at the time, that the Africans would destroy this country and kill all non-Africans. As South Africans we know that just as South Africa is free today so too can Israel be a free country for both Palestinians and Jews.
Remember to speak out against the injustices perpetrated by Jews can never be Anti-Semitic.
