The vicious and malicious crime that has occurred in South Africa
recently has sparked off a huge amount of interest, concern, debate and
downright anger amongst South African citizens.
We are living in a time of cruel and ferocious actions towards
the people closest to us. I heard on a local radio station earlier this morning
that Kotze was quoted saying that he just wanted to hurt his wife a little.
Just a little. For goodness sake Johan, you could have just thrown some
chillies in her mouth, but instead- conspire to rape, sodomize and murder?
Anyway , my main concern at this point is that upon
following this story, I have noticed very worrying reports over various
articles saying the following: “Matshoge said the law should be fair towards
the men and take into consideration that they had not
intended committing the crime."
If it hasn’t already crossed many citizens thoughts, I’ll
gladly be the one to bring up this question: How in this scenario, fearing for
your life at gun-point, does one still manage to get an erection? By this I
mean- how does one, consciously knowing
you are about to maliciously attack and harm a defenceless woman, still manage to
function sexually? If I were a man in that position, I would have undoubtedly
failed to follow out Kotze’s orders.
There is no way these men deserve to be given the slightest
crumb of sympathy. It is clear as day that these men deserve to be given the
same punishment as Kotze for they are just as guilty. Three grown men, who did
not even attempt to over-power Kotze? Rubbish, they are all disgusting animalistic
creatures of evil and deserve the shame and guilt of the irreparable and
tormenting damage they have caused this poor woman.
Just goes to show that the common misconception amongst
us South Africans that only black folk are capable of such malicious and
violent acts, is sure to come to a dead halt. The white man and the black man
are joining forces in all fairness to embark on the Rainbow Nation.
