I spend quite some time
contemplating about the events of Judgment day, from what I’ve read and learnt,
I imagine it will go down something like this:-
Everyone will see the Lord coming
in the clouds in his heavily glory, no one will ask what’s happening, all will know
the final day has come! We’ll see all the dead people alive, what a sorrowful yet
joyous moment.
Then each person will have a meeting
with God where everything ever said, done, whispered and thought will be laid
bare and discussed. Everyone will give account of their actions and their
motives. Liars will be truthful with the hope that being honest might give them
a chance, but they’d be lying to themselves.
The book of reference will be the
Bible. All the Bible bashers will be amazed how they will agree with God based on
the Bible that they deserve their place in hell.
For the believers the joy in
their hearts for the coming of the Lord will be overwhelming. Before they enter
heaven though they’ll also stand before God for their rewards based on what
they did in Christ, that moment won’t be very sweet when what they did is
tested by fire. The sins done before they accepted Christ will be forgotten,
they are not on the agenda at all.
Some Christians will make it into
heaven as the people just escaping the flames. Prosperity gospel teachers will
be exposed for who they are, God haters and lovers of themselves and lovers of money, something
they’ve known all along. You can't serve both God and money. But, there won’t be blaming them for lying to
you because you should have read the Bible yourself.
One by one people will be placed
on the right and on the left as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. Every
knee will bow down and every tongue confess that Christ is Lord. The sons of
God will be welcomed into the new earth since the old one will be destroyed and
for the disobedient, hell will close upon them before they have an opportunity
to say sorry and goodbye.
The atheists will finally be
proved right for their claims, God doesn’t exist in hell, where they’ll be. And
they’ll be proved right that the existence in hell is no life at all. The
evidence they need to prove God is alive, will be with them to ponder on for
eternity.
And before I take my place in heaven, I’ll give Jesus as big
hug of gratefulness for what he did for me on the cross!
